About StateStats.org
Mission
StateStats.org has a mission to advance education through the use of technology and informational tools. Our primary focus is on building free web tools that make education and information more accessible to students and the general public. We were inspired by the work of the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation and by new tools such as the Khan Academy and OpenCourseWare that have resulted in significant evolutionary strides for the accessibility of education using online channels. We believe that accessibility of education is the most critical factor to ensure progression of society.
While we are still early on a long journey, we hope you find value in our online guides and web tools.
Who we are?
Daniel and Arthur started StateStats in early 2012 after they had the idea to create a search for free online classes across multiple top U.S. universities. Both Daniel and Arthur have experience from major technology and internet companies that have focused on bringing value to an online world.
Our Organization
We are currently a small start-up. We don’t have a Board of Directors or an office at this point. You will typically find us at Starbucks or a local cafe in San Francisco working on our latest web guide. We do have a talented team of developers, designers, researchers and writers who help build our products.
Our Products
All of our products are focused on education and free of charge. We plan to keep it this way. We strive to make each tool easy to use and to add to any web page.
Partners & Sponsors
Realistically, we can’t do this without funding. While we don’t earn revenue from our products, we do receive funding from our partners who are often included in as sponsors of our tools & guides. We have a variety of small websites and companies that contribute funding to our organization based on adoption of our products. Most installations of our products produce very limited traffic for our sponsors & partners and in most cases the traffic produced is virtually zero.
We are happy to provide any of our products “sponsor free.” All you need to do is make a request through our contact form below. Keep in mind, we believe that we are building real positive value with our products, and our sponsors & partners allow us to continue producing our free web tools.
